Following the stunning Northumberland Coastal route past the small villages of Alnmouth, Amble and Warkworth, the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is among the finest landscapes in the country.
The journey continues north to Bamburgh, home to The Grace Darling Museum which tells the story of one of the North's greatest heroines, and the great Bamburgh Castle, once the site of the ancient capital of Northumbria.
Included in the tour is Lindisfarne, the cradle of early Christianity, where your group can enjoy a guided tour of the remains of the 12th Century Priory with its stories of earlier times, or the magnificent Castle, perched high above the fishing port. We can only cross the causeway here when the tide allows!
On the return journey your group could enjoy fresh fish and chips in the fishing town of Seahouses, or maybe sample a pair of Kippers from the famous Craster smoke house.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens which is inhabitied by the current Duke of Northumberland and his family is only a few miles inland, it was used in the Harry Potter films and also the Downton Abbey series.
